When you have pain from a car accident or workplace injury, you don’t want band-aid fixes that won’t last.

You just want to feel better, and we want to help.

The urgent care visit, muscle relaxers, and pain medications you receive after an accident or injury often don’t eliminate your chance of experiencing ongoing pain and movement limitations from your injury. While the visible signs of your accident may have healed, you may find yourself continuing to struggle.

Revival Bodywork specializes in long-term relief from pain caused by auto accidents, workmens comp injuries, and personal injuries in Colorado Springs. We work with you to customize a treatment plan for common accident injuries, including:

  • Hip pain and tightness

  • Pre-surgery prep

  • Post-surgery care

  • Joint stiffness and pain

  • Headaches

  • Chronic pain

  • Limited range of motion

  • Back pain

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Pain between the shoulder blades

  • Whiplash

What is Medical Massage?

Medical massage is clinical bodywork covered by auto insurance with a prescription from a Physician, Chiropractor, or Physical Therapist. It treats injury and pain resulting from car accidents, like whiplash, back pain, neck pain, and shoulder pain, covered by auto insurance or workplace injuries covered under workmen’s comp claims.

The goal of medical massage is to use clinical bodywork and therapeutic massage to realign and position your body to eliminate pain and restore smooth and natural movement.

What If I Do NOT Qualify for Medical Massage?

Revival Bodywork can help you achieve long-lasting pain relief and restore movement even if you don’t qualify for medical massage.

We offer Clinical Bodywork as a self-pay option for clients without a prescription or diagnosis. These sessions are fully customizable to meet the specific needs of your pain or injury.

The Revival Bodywork Difference

We understand that you’re looking for medical massage therapy because of the symptoms you’re experiencing from a car accident or workplace injury, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to experience treatment in a calm and relaxing environment.

At Revival Bodywork, we combine the clinical side of treatment with a relaxing spa-like atmosphere. Jen understands what it takes to help you reach your goal of a fast and effective treatment outcome after an accident. Because of her passion for helping people experience freedom from pain and limitation, she holds the highest credentials within the massage and bodywork profession, including:

  • Licensed Massage Therapist

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (ECPI University, Virginia)

  • Board Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB)

  • Shoulder Specialist Certification (Coaching the Body Institute, Chicago)

What do all those credentials mean for you?

You get the best of both worlds as we work together to heal your pain or injury. Our goal is to help you achieve long-lasting healing by solving your pain instead of just treating it.

To obtain the above credentials, Jen:

  • Completed 650+ hours of education through Stark State College in Ohio (an approved school)

  • Completed a year of specialized training for the shoulder, including in-person classes, testing, and working with a mentor

  • Completes regular background checks so you can rest at ease

In addition, Jen has specialized in working with injuries for 7+ years. She enjoys working to help you feel your best which motivates her to continue furthering her education to ensure she is treating you with the industry's best practices.

Testimonials

  • "I met Jen after I was in a car accident. She spends time to find out how I am feeling and always asks how I’m doing during my massage. She emails videos of things I can do at home to feel better. Jen is professional, understanding, patient and great at what she does."

    Susan Pendleton

  • "Jen helped me through a really bad car accident in fall of 2020. I continue to see her for maintenance. She is extremely well versed in regards to the body, and isn't one to just say, "well you're just always going to feel that way now, due to an injury "( like others have said). "

    Jessica Calhoun

  • "Jen spent time understanding what was going on with me, then discussed treatments completely. I had immediate improvement afterwards and she provided really helpful videos of treatments i could do at home."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I qualify for Medical Massage?

First and foremost, Medical Massage requires a prescription with a medical diagnosis code. Your prescription may be written for massage therapy, manual therapy, neuromuscular therapy or orthopedic massage.

If you have not yet obtained a prescription or you aren’t sure how to obtain one, schedule a free consultation, and Jen will help you take the next steps to obtain a prescription for medical massage.

What to Expect During Your Initial Consultation for Medical Massage

During your phone consultation, we will talk with you about the details of your specific situation, including:

  • The main reason you are seeking medical massage and the symptoms you’re experiencing

  • Your prescription for medical massage (if you’ve already obtained one) and your diagnosis code

  • If you are working with an attorney

  • What level of communication you would like us to have with your attorney, doctors, or insurance company

  • If you are working directly with a lien company such as Merrick Medical or would like a referral for one (Jen can even make the call for you!)

  • The next best steps for your treatment plan, including scheduling your first appointment once approved

Don’t worry if this seems overwhelming. Jen will guide you through the steps to make it as easy as possible for you.

Payment Made Easy

There is enough stress from being injured in an auto accident, workplace incident, or personal injury, and we don’t want to add the stress of paying for medical massage to your worries. Therefore, Revival Bodywork works directly with your auto insurance claim, attorney, lien company, or workmens comp case to cover the cost of medically deemed treatment whenever possible.

We will walk you through the process and answer all your questions during our initial phone consultation.
